Kindly Hearts initiative

​Alpha Xi Delta is committed to supporting children and youth who are experiencing foster care or homelessness. 
Over 400,000 children are currently placed in foster care and every year an estimated 4.2 million youth experience homelessness.
The need for support is real.
Alpha Xi Delta believes that all children deserve love and support. Children and youth experiencing foster care or homelessness do not always have access to the foundational needs that will help them realize their potential. Fundraising

​In addition to our Kindly Hearts Initiative, our group raises money to support local chapters and philanthropy through sales of fresh pecans each fall. Orders are due by mid-October, and are delivered the first week in November, just in time for holiday baking and gifts. The 1 lb bags are perfect for the chefs in your life, and the rest of the varieties come in beautiful foil gift bags. Do You Volunteer?

Have you spent your year helping others? Tracking all of your volunteer time and charitable donations is a great help for our yearly report. Alpha Xi Delta keeps totals on the number of hours of volunteer work done by members. Keep track of the hours you volunteer each month - names of volunteers or the organization you help are not reported - just the total number of hours. So if you volunteer at school, the hospital, a food drive or anything else, let us know. We want to remind Fraternity Headquarters why Northern Virginia Alumnae are the best!
